Wash. Court Awards Summary Judgment to Air & Liquid Systems in Asbestos Case

TACOMA, Wash. –– Air & Liquid Systems Corp. has been awarded summary judgment in a federal asbestos case, after the court determined that none of the Lockwood factors weigh in favor of a finding that causation had been established.
In an Oct. 9 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington opined that “although Plaintiff’s evidence relates to Decedent’s proximity to shipboard asbestos generally, it does not discuss proximity concerning an asbestos-containing product for which Air & Liquid is responsible.”
