NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — A New Jersey jury awarded a total of $37.3 million in compensatory damages to four plaintiffs in an asbestos-talc case after determining that their abdominal mesothelioma was caused by their exposure to Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder, sources have confirmed to HarrisMartin Publishing.

The nine-member Middlesex County (N.J.) Superior Court jury reached their verdict on Sept. 11 in the four cases, which were consolidated for a trial that began on July 15. Hon. Ana C. Viscomi presided over the trial.
