Fla. State Court Vacates Order Dismissing Asbestos Talc Case that Was Part of J&J’s Mass Removal Efforts

PALM BEACH, Fla. –– A Florida state court has issued an order vacating its earlier final disposition in an asbestos cosmetic talcum powder action and directed the clerk of the court to re-open the case, granting the plaintiffs’ emergency motion to vacate the dismissal order.

The May 13 order filed by the Florida 15th Judicial Circuit Court for Palm Beach County additionally ordered plaintiffs’ counsel to schedule a case management conference.

In the court’s order, it stated that the final disposition form was “erroneously entered in this matter and is therefore vacated and set aside.”
