Wash. Court Awards Summary Judgment to 5 Asbestos Defendants, Says Causation Lacking

TACOMA, Wash. –– A Washington federal court has awarded summary judgment to several defendants in an asbestos case, concluding in part that the plaintiffs had failed to present admissible evidence linking the plaintiff’s mesothelioma to the products manufactured by the defendant.

In separate orders issued May 6, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington awarded summary judgment to Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Crosby Valve LLC, John Crane Inc., Foster Wheeler Energy Corp., and FlowServe US Inc.
