Parties in Asbestos Cosmetic Talcum Powder Trial Reach Settlement Agreement Mid-Trial




LOS ANGELES –– Johnson & Johnson and plaintiffs involved in an asbestos-related talcum powder lawsuit have reached a settlement agreement after three days of trial.

The California Superior Court for Los Angeles County jury heard opening statements on Monday and two ensuing days of testimony before being excused on Wednesday, March 27. After their excusal, Judge Chester Horn stated that the case had been resolved.

It is believed that only one other asbestos talc case has ended in a settlement agreement: in January, Johnson & Johnson reached a settlement agreement in a New York case prior to opening statements. …
