Asbestos Cosmetic Talcum Powder Trial Underway in Los Angeles Court

LOS ANGELES –– Another asbestos-related talcum powder lawsuit is underway in California state court, where the parties picked jury members last week and were expected to deliver opening statements on March 25.

According to a minute order issued March 22 by the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County, twelve jurors and three alternates were impaneled that same day.

In their complaint filed in April 2017, the plaintiffs alleged that Gail Koretoff developed malignant mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos-containing talcum powder products. Koretoff used the products between 1982 and 2016, the complaint said.
