PITTSBURGH –– A Pennsylvania state court has denied Imerys Talc America’s efforts to have the court reconsider an earlier order overruling objections on jurisdiction grounds in an asbestos cosmetic talcum powder personal injury suit.

In a one-page order issued Oct. 1, the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County rejected the defendant’s argument that decisions in other cases have found the company is not subject to personal jurisdiction in the state.
