Upstate New York Jury Awards $7 Million to Former Laborer, Finds Valve Defendant 50 Percent Liable

BUFFALO, N.Y. –– A jury in upstate New York has awarded $7 million at the conclusion of an asbestos trial, finding Jenkins Bros. 50 percent liable for a former laborer’s asbestos exposure and subsequent development of mesothelioma.
Sources told HarrisMartin that the New York Supreme Court for Erie County jury reached the verdict on Sept. 14. Hon. Deborah Chimes presided over the trial.
