Parties in Cosmetic Talc Asbestos Case Begin Filing In Limine Motions as Court Mulls Motion for Sanctions

ORLANDO, Fla. –– Parties involved in an asbestos cosmetic talcum powder action have begun filing in limine motions while the court is set to weigh in on whether the defendants are entitled to sanctions for the alleged destruction of the decedent’s medical records.

In a June 26 brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the defendants asked the court to preclude the plaintiffs from presenting evidence that talc or talcum powder causes any disease other than mesothelioma, the alleged illness in the underlying action.
