Boeing Asks Illinois Federal Court to Reconsider Remand Order in Asbestos Case

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –– Boeing Co. has asked an Illinois federal court to reconsider its order remanding an asbestos case back to state court, arguing that it had sufficiently laid out grounds for federal officer jurisdiction in its removal papers.

In the June 25 motion to reconsider, the asbestos defendant said the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois improperly required Boeing to submit supporting affidavits or exhibits to back their notice of removal.
