TAMPA, Fla. –– An asbestos-containing cosmetic talcum powder lawsuit has been filed against several defendants –– including Johnson & Johnson –– in Florida state court, in which the plaintiff contends that exposure to asbestos-containing talc caused the decedent to develop mesothelioma.

Thomas Dapp filed the lawsuit on May 22 in Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit Court for Hillsborough County, on behalf of Loni Dapp, who was diagnosed with mesothelioma in April 2015, thus satisfying the Florida Asbestos and Silica Compensation Fairness Act.

According to the plaintiff, Loni Dapp used asbestos-containing talcum powder products on herself and her infant children …
