Johnson & Johnson Moves to Permit Limited Supplemental Discovery in Cosmetic Talc Asbestos Action

ORLANDO, Fla. –– Several defendants named in an asbestos cosmetic talcum powder action have moved to permit limited supplemental discovery, contending that two “significant developments” –– including the misrepresentation that medical records for the decedent had been destroyed –– open the door for such discovery to take place.

In the May 24 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the defendants additionally argued that the plaintiff had erroneously claimed that there had not been other claims for compensation involving the decedent’s asbestos-related disease.
