Calif. Jury Awards $11.4 Million at Conclusion of Take-Home Asbestos Exposure Trial




LOS ANGELES –– A California jury has awarded $11.4 million at the conclusion of a take-home asbestos exposure trial, finding that the defendant had acted with malice when it failed to warn employees of asbestos-related hazards.

The California Superior Court for Los Angeles County jury reached the verdict on April 23. Judge Michele Flurer presided over the trial.

Defendant Liberty Utilities (Park Water) Corp. was the lone defendant remaining at the time of the verdict.
