Jury Awards Plaintiff $47 Million in Asbestos Premises Case

NEW YORK - A jury in New York has returned what is believed to be the largest verdict ever in an asbestos-related premises liability case, awarding a plaintiff nearly $50 million for his exposure to asbestos at two utility plants. Croteau v. ACandS, Inc., et al., No. 118793/2001 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).
