BARTOW, Fla. –– Parties involved in an asbestos industrial talc trial during which a former tile company employee contended that he developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos-containing talc products have reached a settlement agreement, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin Publishing.

The parties reached the settlement on March 16, just one day after a Florida 10th Judicial Circuit Court for Polk County jury heard closing arguments in the case. Hon. Michael E. Raiden presided over the trial, which began on Feb. 22.
