PITTSBURGH –– Plaintiffs asserting asbestos cosmetic talc claims in Pennsylvania state court have opposed recent defense efforts to have the case assigned to the county’s complex litigation center, instead of Allegheny County’s Asbestos Docket, maintaining that the court’s local rules mandate that the action be assigned to the asbestos judge.
In a Feb. 14 opposition brief filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County, the plaintiffs explained that the Center’s Procedures “expressly rule out assigning this action to the Center.”
