N.Y. Asbestos Plaintiff Amends Complaint, Says Court has Jurisdiction Over Defendants

NEW YORK –– A plaintiff who alleges she developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos-containing art supplies has filed an amended complaint, maintaining that the defendants have performed acts within New York, allowing the court to exercise jurisdiction over the matter.

In his first amended complaint, filed Jan. 5 in the New York Supreme Court for New York County, plaintiff Cris Moldow argued that she had been diagnosed with mesothelioma “as a result of her exposure to asbestos.”
