NEW YORK –– A New York federal court has granted an application to voluntarily dismiss an asbestos suit filed against Johnson & Johnson for its talcum powder products.

In a Dec. 20 document, Judge Ronnie Abrams of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the plaintiff’s application, which was filed on Dec. 19.

Catherine Fulmore filed her complaint in the New York Supreme Court in October. In it, Fulmore repeated and re-alleged the standard asbestos complaint for personal injury applicable in the New York City Asbestos Litigation docket.
