Plaintiffs in Asbestos Talc Case Oppose Transfer Efforts, Say Defendants Have Failed to Prove Current Venue is ‘Oppressive or Vexatious’

PITTSBURGH –– Plaintiffs asserting an asbestos-containing talcum powder lawsuit have opposed recent efforts to transfer the claims, arguing that the defendants are presenting conjecture concerning possible evidence of other asbestos exposure.

In the Nov. 13 brief filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County, the plaintiffs further said that the recitation of potential documents that may be found in a neighboring county is “far from sufficient to show oppression or vexation.”
