Jurors Start Deliberating in Asbestos-Containing Talc Case Against Johnson & Johnson

LOS ANGELES –– Jurors are currently deliberating in an asbestos case involving Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower talcum powder products, one day after the parties delivered closing arguments in the trial.
The asbestos trial, which began on Oct. 19 in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County, involves claims brought by Tina and Doug Herford.
The plaintiffs argued that Tina developed malignant mesothelioma as a result of using the defendants’ asbestos-containing products. Tina specifically alleged that she came into contact with the asbestos fibers in talcum powder products, in products used for a residential renovation, and …
