WILMINGTON, Del. –– A Delaware court has awarded summary judgment to an asbestos defendant named for its role as a premises owner, ruling that the company could not be held liable since the plaintiff worked for a third-party contractor that control and supervised his work.

In the Oct. 26 opinion, the Delaware Superior Court opined that there was no evidence that the defendant engaged in negligent conduct.
