TACOMA, Wash. –– A Washington federal court has denied motions to compel filed against three defendants by asbestos plaintiffs, finding in two of the cases that the disputes between the parties did not call for court intervention.
In its Sept. 19 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington opined in the case of the third motion to compel that the parties should meet and confer on ways to search that party’s electronic database, opining that the defendant may have to seek help from a third party to investigate alternative search parameters.
