WILMINGTON, Del. –– FMC Corp. has been awarded summary judgment in an asbestos action by a Delaware state court, which found that the plaintiff had failed to offer sufficient product identification evidence.

In the Aug. 18 order, the Delaware Superior Court opined that the plaintiff did not offer evidence beyond speculation that the decedent worked with an asbestos-containing product manufactured by FMC.

Plaintiff Jill Dudley asserted the claims on behalf of her deceased husband, Frank Dudley, contending that he worked on pumps for one year while employed at Cam Chemical Co. The decedent testified that he worked on at least …
