New York Jury Awards $4.6 Million at Conclusion of Asbestos Case Against Jenkins Bros.




NEW YORK –– A New York jury has awarded $4.6 million at the conclusion of an asbestos trial against valve manufacturer Jenkins Bros., sources told HarrisMartin.

The New York Supreme Court for New York County reached the verdict recently after a trial over which Judge Martin Shulman presided. Jenkins Bros. was the lone remaining defendant at the time of the verdict, sources said.

The plaintiffs asserted the claims on behalf of Thomas McGlynn, who alleged that he developed mesothelioma as a result of working with asbestos-containing valves manufactured by Jenkins Bros.
