SAN FRANCISCO - A California jury has awarded a defense verdict in a mesothelioma case after the plaintiff had recorded nearly $3 million in undisputed damages as a result of his asbestos-related injuries. Lunsford v. Garlock, Inc., No. 323071 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.)
The verdict was handed up Feb. 28 in San Francisco Superior Court and clears defendant Garlock Inc. of liability for the injuries suffered by Ronald Lunsford, a 49-year-old former Naval officer who claimed he was exposed to Garlock gaskets and valve packing.
