LOS ANGELES –– A California appellate court has affirmed an award of summary judgment to an asbestos defendant, opining that the plaintiffs had failed to produce admissible evidence that would support a triable issue of material fact.

In the March 2 opinion, the California Second District Court of Appeal found that while the plaintiffs pointed to the defendant’s plastic roof cement product as a cause of the decedent’s injuries, they failed to identify a specific product or method of exposure.
