Maryland Court Grants In Part Motion for Protective Order, Asks Asbestos Plaintiffs to Submit More Specific AOIs

BALTIMORE –– A Maryland court has granted in part a defense motion for a protective order, saying that the total area of inquiry sought by the asbestos plaintiffs were unduly burdensome and “would certainly be incredibly time consuming and expensive to produce.”

In the Feb. 21 order, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland did allow the plaintiffs to submit new areas of inquiry limiting their inquiry to Ford vehicles on which they can prove the decedent actually worked or replaced brakes.
