Louisiana Court Weighs in on Several Motions in Asbestos Case, In Part Refuses to Place ‘Blanket Ban’ on Settlement Details

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has weighed in on a number of pending motions in an asbestos case, in part finding that a “blanket ban” on evidence regarding settlements was unwarranted, but opined that specific evidence of prior settlements or collateral sources of compensation would be permitted with express permission of the court.
