ATLANTA — The manufacturer of asbestos-laden pipes had no duty to warn the plaintiff in a take-home exposure action of the risks associated with inhaling the asbestos dust on her father’s clothing, the Georgia Supreme Court has ruled, explaining that such a duty is unreasonable.
In a Nov. 30 ruling, the high court explained that it would be "problematic" to impose a duty on CertainTeed to warn all individuals who may be exposed to asbestos dust on clothing, because “the mechanism and scope of such warnings would be endless.”
