Del. Court Reaches Defense Verdict for Ford Motor in Asbestos Case Involving Company’s Friction Products

WILMINGTON, Del. –– A Delaware state court has reached a defense verdict for Ford Motor Co., rejecting the plaintiffs’ claims that exposure to the defendant’s friction products caused the development of an asbestos-related injury.
The Delaware Superior Court for New Castle County jury reached the verdict on June 29. Judge Calvin L. Scott Jr. presided over the trial.
Plaintiffs Donna F. Walls, John W. Walls Jr., and Collin Walls brought the claims, contending that exposure to Ford Motor’s asbestos-containing friction products caused Mr. Walls’ injuries.
