Calif. Court Awards Summary Judgment to Cleaver-Brooks, Denies Motion from Foster Wheeler in Asbestos Action

LOS ANGELES –– A California federal court has awarded summary judgment to Cleaver-Brooks in an asbestos action, but denied the same motion filed by Foster Wheeler, finding the plaintiff had presented enough evidence to support claims filed against the defendant.
In a May 24 order, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California found that the plaintiffs had failed to establish a genuine issue of material fact as to exposure to Cleaver-Brooks’ products.
