Maryland Federal Court Grants Unopposed Motions to Dismiss Conspiracy, Aiding and Abetting Claims in Asbestos Case

BALTIMORE –– A Maryland federal court has granted a number of motions to dismiss filed by defendants in an asbestos case, noting that the plaintiffs did not oppose the defense efforts to toss conspiracy and aiding and abetting claims.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland issued the order on May 5.
Plaintiffs Charles Lemuel Arbogast Jr. and Barbara Arbogast filed the underlying complaint, contending that Charles Arbogast developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos-containing products manufactured by 27 defendants named in the lawsuit.
