Ala. Court Awards Summary Judgment to Crane Co., Goulds, Fluor Daniel in Asbestos Case

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– An Alabama federal court has awarded summary judgment to three asbestos defendants, concluding in part that the plaintiff had failed to prove that the decedent had been exposed to asbestos from the company’s products.

In the March 24 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama also rejected the notion that the defendants could be held liable for products they did not place into the stream of commerce.
