Plaintiffs in 4 Asbestos Cases Scheduled for Separate Trials in Upcoming Months; Settlement with 3M Reached

MADISON, Wis. –– Plaintiffs asserting claims related to Kaylo door cores have reached a settlement agreement with 3M Co., according to documents filed with the Wisconsin federal court.
In a Feb. 11 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin struck all pretrial deadlines and trial date for all claims involving 3M only.
The plaintiffs asserting the claims alleged that they were exposed to asbestos in Kaylo door cores. According to the court’s online docket, Weyerhaeuser Co., Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and Marshfield DoorSystems Inc. remain as defendants in the case.
