U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to Hold Hearing on “Need for Transparency in the Asbestos Trusts”

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary had indicated that it will hold a full judiciary committee hearing to address the “Need for Transparency in the Asbestos Trusts” on Feb. 3, according to a notice.
The meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, according to the Committee notice.
The hearing notice comes less than one month after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Fairness in Class Action Litigation Act, into which the Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency (FACT) Act was folded.
