LOS ANGELES –– A California appellate court has reversed an award of nonsuit on a number of claims in an asbestos exposure case, finding that the defendant’s purchase of defective products combined with its ongoing relationship with the manufacturers of those products was enough to support the imposition of a strict liability claim.
In its Dec. 22 opinion, however, the California Second District Court of Appeal rejected the chance to overturn a trial court order denying a motion for a new trial on judicial misconduct grounds.
