LOS ANGELES –– A California federal court has awarded summary judgment to a refractory contractor defendant, noting that the asbestos plaintiffs had filed notices of non-opposition to the defense efforts.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California noted that three individuals testifying on behalf of the plaintiff could not provide any information that would establish that the plaintiff had worked around products manufactured by the defendant.
