ASHEVILLE, N.C. –– A North Carolina jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of Pneumo Abex and Reddaway Manufacturing, rejecting claims that the plaintiff developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos in the defendants’ brake lining products.
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina entered a judgment in favor of the defendants on Oct. 2.
According to a verdict sheet, jurors rejected the plaintiffs’ claims on Sept. 11, finding that while the plaintiff did have frequent and regular exposure to the defendants’ asbestos-containing brake lining products, he was not injured as a proximate …
