NEW YORK –– A former auto mechanic has been awarded $25 million by a New York jury, which additionally found that a grinder manufacturer acted with reckless disregard for the safety of others, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing.
The New York Supreme Court for New York County jury reached the verdict on Sept. 28 after a two-and-a-half week trial and one day of deliberations. Hennessy Industries Inc., the successor company of AMMCO, was the lone remaining defendant at the time of the verdict, sources said.
