Defendants File Brief in Third-Party Components Parts Liability Asbestos Dispute before Maryland High Court

BALTIMORE –– Defendants involved in a component parts dispute before a Maryland appellate court have filed their brief in the appeal, saying that the disconnect between the defendant’s sale and the plaintiff’s injury forecloses liability.

In the June 5 brief filed in the Maryland Court of Appeals, defendants Warren Pumps LLC, Air & Liquid Systems Corp., and IMO Industries Inc. said the appellate court should affirm the awards of summary judgment since Maryland law has never imposed liability beyond the company selling the allegedly harmful product.
