Ill. Court Remands Take-Home Asbestos Exposure Case, Cites Untimely Removal

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –– An Illinois federal court has remanded a take-home asbestos exposure case, finding that the removing defendant had not removed the claims within the requisite 30-day window.
In the May 12 order, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois said the removing defendant was put on notice that a federal defense was available when the plaintiffs submitted answers to interrogatories.
