Ill. Court Denies Motion to Dismiss in Asbestos-Related Lung Cancer Case

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –– An Illinois federal court has denied Crane Co.’s efforts to dismiss an asbestos-related lung cancer suit, saying the plaintiff, at this stage of the litigation, has pleading enough facts to state a claim that is plausible on its face.

In the April 16 order, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois rejected Crane’s assertion that the plaintiff had failed to specify the times and locations of the alleged exposure.
