N.J. Court Denies MetLife’s Motion to Dismiss Asbestos Complaint for Failure to Comply with Deadlines

TRENTON, N.J. –– A New Jersey federal court has denied MetLife’s efforts to dismiss an asbestos-related complaint, saying that the plaintiffs failure to meet two court-ordered deadlines were not willful or in bad faith.

In the April 9 order, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey additionally found that exclusion of the late expert reports would be inappropriate since the plaintiffs had agreed to extend the deadline for the defense expert reports.
