Pennsylvania Appellate Court Affirms Summary Judgment Award to Manufacturer of Cranes in Asbestos Case

HARRISBURG, Pa. –– A Pennsylvania appellate court has affirmed an award of summary judgment to an asbestos defendant, finding that the plaintiffs had not produced enough evidence to establish causation between the alleged injury and the asbestos in the defendant’s cranes.

In the March 16 opinion, the Pennsylvania Superior Court further held that testimony from the plaintiff’s former co-workers did not provide information regarding the frequency, regularity or proximity of the alleged exposure.
