W.Va. Senators Pass Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust Claim, Inactive Docket Legislation Unanimously

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –– Legislation that would require asbestos claimants to reveal the asbestos bankruptcy trusts with which they have filed claims has passed the West Virginia senate unanimously.

The state senators passed the legislation –– which also would create an inactive docket for both asbestos and silica claims –– by a vote of 33-0 on Feb. 27. It now heads to the House of Delegates.
