Missouri Court Proposes Transfer of Asbestos Action to North Carolina

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri federal court has proposed the transfer of an asbestos case to North Carolina, saying that the connection between the facts of the case and Missouri are “tangential at best.”

In the Feb. 5 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri asked the parties to submit briefing on why a transfer to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina would not be appropriate.
