Missouri Court Dismisses Asbestos Complaint, Says Lawsuit Improperly Lumps Defendants Together

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri federal court has dismissed an asbestos complaint without prejudice, opining that the lawsuit failed when it alleged that 32 defendants caused the plaintiff to be exposed to asbestos from more than 20 products over a nearly 30-year period in five different locations.

In the Jan. 22 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri also noted that the plaintiff failed to respond to the defendants’ underlying motions to dismiss.
