Pennsylvania Jurors Enter Defense Verdict for Crane Co. in Asbestos Case




PHILADELPHIA –– A Pennsylvania jury has reached a defense verdict for Crane Co. in an U.S. Naval asbestos exposure suit, rejecting the plaintiff’s claims that exposure to asbestos-containing gaskets, packing and insulation used in connection with the defendant’s valves caused the decedent to develop mesothelioma.

The Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County jury deliberated for approximately one hour before returning a defense verdict for the lone remaining defendant in the action, Crane Co.

Judge Lisette Shirdan-Harris presided over the trial.
