N.J. Court Awards Summary Judgment to Asbestos Defendants on Product ID Grounds

CAMDEN, N.J. –– A New Jersey federal court has awarded summary judgment to a number of defendants in an asbestos case, finding that the plaintiffs had not produced enough evidence specifically identifying the companies as those that manufactured or distributed the products in question.

In the Dec. 5 order, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey noted that while the plaintiffs did not oppose the motions, it still was required to weigh the merits of the summary judgment motions.
