Utah Court Issues Order on In Limine Motions in Asbestos Case; Trial Set for October

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah –– A Utah federal court has issued rulings on a number of in limine motions in an asbestos case slated for trial next month, weighing in on whether the plaintiffs can introduce evidence on trade association knowledge and product catalogs.

According to a stipulated pretrial order issued Aug. 28, the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah will oversee a trial scheduled to begin Oct. 14.

The plaintiffs asserted the claims on behalf of Joseph Alexander Anderson Jr., who allegedly developed mesothelioma as a result of his exposure to asbestos. The case, filed in 2006, …
